CH. RAUSHAN JAMIL

Owned and Bred by Vic & Eve Siebrecht

"Jamie" was owner bred and handled by Vic & Eve Siebrecht of Raushan Kennels.  He was a very sound, heavily coated, solid afghan, with a most beautiful eye and expression, and the type of movement we like - powerful, ground covering, springy, and easy.  When we decided to become serious about breeding afghans, we purchased several of his daughters, and two of them have become the backbone of our breeding programme.  The first was Ch. Raushan Talitha Cumi who was the dam of Ch. Khandhu Laser Litefoot, and the second one was  Raushan Moon Shadow, the dam of Ch. Khandhu Amazing Grace. We are forever grateful to Vic and Eve for trusting us with these beautiful bitches.

CH. ALAQADAR DE FAUVES

Owned and bred by Terry & Ada Wilcox

"Fuzzie" was owner bred and handled by Terry and Ada Wilcox, and was the dog we chose to breed Ch. Raushan Talitha Cumi to for her first litter.  He was a most beautiful black and tan dog, again with the wonderful movement we so admired, and an outstanding temperament for showing.  But more importantly, we had come to appreciate the importance of choosing a dog who was not only excellent in himself, but had other excellent litter mates. (We had previously used litter brother Ch. Alaqadar Chiaroscuro, and were always avid admirers of Ch. Alaqadar Arabesque.)  This litter produced 4 champions, amongst them, Ch. Khandhu Laser Litefoot - our first Specialty BIS winning dog, and an important driving force in our breeding.

CH. RAUSHAN COPA CABANA

Owned by Kerry and Margaret Pope, and bred by Vic & Eve Siebrecht

Vic and Eve Siebrecht from Raushan Kennels were the first to want to use Ch. Khandhu Laser Litefoot at stud, and were presented with a VERY large litter.  In order that they all survive, we took home two puppies to hand rear.  By the time they reached 3 months, "Lola had no idea she was a dog, thought I was her mother, and totally refused to behave in any way like an afghan puppy.  Kerry & Margaret Pope were looking for a new puppy, so decided to give Lola a go.  She became the Top Specialty BIS Winning Afghan of All Time In Australia, and also won some 36 All-Breeds BIS. We were priveleged to breed her only two litters.  The first was to Ch. Pierhelo Cointreau, and this gave us our top specialty BIS producing  brood bitch, Khandhu Trapeze - dam of Karakush Champions - True Blue, Irresistable U, and What A Rascal, and also Ch. Khandhu Whip Crack Away.  Lola's second litter was to Ch. Khandhu Cracker Jack, and this gave us our 2 Specialty Challenge winning girls, Ch. Khandhu Lolita, and National Specialty BIS winning bitch, Ch. Khandhu Femme Fatale, dam of our current young champion bitches Khandhu Midnight Stripes, and Khandhu After Midnight."Lola" also made an important contribution to Kingsleah Kennels in Sweden through her son from the first litter - Ch. Khandhu Acrobatic Ace, and we subsequently aceccssed this line again when we imported Svinto (Kingsleah Blue Star), to Australia. Although she only ever had 8 puppies in 2 litters, they have bred on well for us, and her legacy is too enormous to list - she is in the pedigrees of so many current winning dogs from many different kennels - so much from only 8 puppies.

CH. SANALLAHS MAN OF THE MOMENT

Owned by George & Shirley Hanson and bred   by Al and Sandra Weinraub

Shirley and George Hanson from Jallal Kennels imported "Lincoln", a stylish young Abraxas son from America, and we knew as soon as we saw him that he had something to offer us.  He was a very exciting dog in the ring, and produced the type of temperament and movement that we liked.  We bred him to our Jamil daughter, Raushan Moon Shadow.  We lost all of the litter to parvo except one exceptional little black and silver bitch who just refused to give in and die. She became Ch. Khandhu Amazing Grace, and was the dam of Khandhu Champions Mandella, Moody Blues, Accolade and Flo Jo.   To give us even more scope with the "Lincoln" line, we bought another of his daughters from George and Shirley, Ch. Hammurabi Beck's Beauty - "Sprinkles", a dynamic little brindle domino.  When bred to Ch. Khandhu Laser Litefoot, she produced our National Specialty BIS winning Ch. Khandhu Stand Out. The combining of Lincoln with our De Fauves and Jamil lines has been most successful for us.

CH. KELZARKI BLUE SPRUCE

Owned by Nan Carter and bred by Les Bradney

"Lucas" was bred by Les Bradney and owned and handled by Nan Carter.  We admired this leggy blue baby the first time we saw him.  He had a lovely springy gait, one of the most stable beautiful temperaments, and a wonderful show attitude. Apart from that, he had a most attractive head, and was a really beautiful colour. We leased Helen and Gary Elmer our Copa Cabana daughter specifically to breed to "Lucas" and the result was Karakush Champions, True Blue, Irresistable U, and What A Rascal.  After watching these youngsters turn into young stars, we bred Ch. Khandhu Amazing Grace to him, and that resulted in Khandhu Champions Mandella, Moody Blues, Accolade and Flo Jo.  Through these two litters, "Lucas" will always have an important part in our future breeding.
